Stop duct-taping your operations: a practical guide to custom workflow automation

Most SMBs run on a patchwork of spreadsheets, email threads, and half-connected SaaS tools. We break down how to map your day-to-day processes, identify the three highest-leverage automation candidates, and build durable workflows that don't collapse when a vendor changes their API.

Enterprise software architecture for companies that aren't enterprises (yet)

You don't need a 40-person platform team to get enterprise-grade reliability. We share the architecture principles we apply on every build — clear system boundaries, boring technology choices, and integration layers designed to be replaced — so your software adapts for years instead of months.

FAQ

How long does a typical project take?

A discovery sprint runs two weeks and produces a fixed quote and roadmap. Most builds ship a production-ready first release in 6–12 weeks, depending on scope. We work in weekly demo cycles, so you see working software from week one — never a big reveal at the end.

Who owns the code once the project is delivered?

You do — fully. On final payment, all source code, infrastructure configuration, and documentation are transferred to repositories you control. There's no lock-in: any competent team can take over the codebase, though most clients stay with us on an Operate & Evolve retainer.

Can you integrate with the systems we already use?

Yes — integration is core to what we build. We routinely connect CRMs, ERPs, accounting platforms, document stores, and industry-specific tools. Where a vendor offers no API, we design resilient workarounds (file drops, email parsing, RPA) with clear monitoring so failures never go unnoticed.

What happens after launch — do you provide maintenance?

Every build includes a 30-day stabilization window at no extra cost. After that, the Operate & Evolve retainer covers monitoring, security patches, priority support, and a monthly improvement budget. You can also take maintenance in-house — the handover documentation is written for exactly that.

How do you price custom work without surprises?

Every engagement starts with a fixed-price discovery sprint that ends in a fixed build quote. If scope changes mid-project, we re-quote the delta before writing a line of code. You'll never receive an invoice you didn't see coming.
